Which handbag suits your needs?
Choose a handbag according to what you carry: a tote for busy days, a small bag for evenings, or a crossbody style to keep your hands free. There’s a Balzac Paris style for every occasion.
The spacious everyday bag: Sun
Launched in October 2026, the Sun is our new signature bag. It comes in two silhouettes: a mixed-material shopper with a detachable handle and the Sun Maxi, a generous, supple XXL tote. Both feature a heat-embossed monogram patch.
The small evening bag: César and Grand César
The César is an icon of a generation, a piece to pass down. Compact, it comes in a wide range of materials and colours, including a version with a leopard-print pony-hair handle, our signature print. The Grand César offers a few extra centimetres.
The half-moon shape: Maé and Vénus
The Maé traces a half-moon silhouette in cowhide leather, adorned with a gold-tone metal detail inspired by our monogram. The Vénus reimagines this shape in a larger, exceptionally supple version crafted from calf suede.
The bucket bag: Sofia and Sasha
The Sofia keeps its surprise inside: navy beneath black grained leather, orange beneath cognac grained leather. Inspired by the Sofia, the Sasha plays on the same contrast in red and chocolate, with an exterior pocket on each side.
The chain-strap bag: Amaïa
The Amaïa is worn on the shoulder with its gold-tone chain. Featuring stitching inspired by the César, it comes in leather or crinkled patent leather.
The flap and baguette bags: Gala and Théa
The Gala, crafted from suede, closes with a flap and gold-tone clasp and features an embossed monogram on the front. The Théa, a soft baguette bag, combines suede and smooth leather. Two suede bows adorn its front pockets.

What leathers do we use for our handbags?
We choose the leather to suit each piece and the desired finish: suede for the velvety feel of the Gala or Vénus, grained leather for the Sofia, and crinkled leather for the textured finish of the Amaïa.
Some of our handbags are made from leather sourced from tanneries assessed against Leather Working Group (LWG) criteria, which include environmental practices, resource management and certain social criteria. Balzac Paris is also B Corp certified. You’ll find details of the material on each style’s product page.
How should I care for a leather handbag?
Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, our leather protector to protect the material, and a dedicated leather conditioner on smooth leather. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can dull bright colours and dry out pale leathers. The Amaïa’s crinkled leather will develop a patina over time.
For more extensive care, the Kiosque at our Adresse on rue d’Hauteville in Paris offers care and repair services, including for leather goods.
