The collective wishes to increase the quantity of wool recycled locally by diversifying the uses of this noble and biodegradable material, while guaranteeing fair remuneration for breeders. This collective also ensures total transparency of practices throughout the chain by improving them to reduce the environmental footprint of the sector, protect the soil and ensure good animal treatment.
Today, 50% of flax is grown in France. We have invested a lot in recent years in sector work to reintroduce linen production in France, from cultivation to transformation into fabrics in order to promote this know-how. We purchased the first linen materials grown, spun and woven in France by releasing a dedicated collection. In addition to being local, flax is a plant that consumes little water and its fiber is very resistant.
Today we work with a family business located in the heart of the Pyrenees and certified as a living heritage company. Each step is carefully carried out: braiding of jute, molding, vulcanization with natural rubber granules... and it is the only one to shape assembled shoes. (tradition, transmission)
We are committed to promoting French know-how in order to promote family businesses but also to reduce our environmental impact. Today, several of our identity materials are woven in the Lyon region. Our signature prints are printed at Deveaux, a French living heritage company specializing in the design, manufacturing and marketing of fabric for clothing.
