Balzac Paris is committed to creating ethical shoes that respect the environment and people. We collaborate with French or European workshops (often in Portugal or Italy) who ensure the working conditions of their employees and promote artisanal know-how.

By manufacturing our ethical shoes in France or Europe, we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint. When a pair of shoes from our collection is “made in France”, we add the words “made in France” to its product sheet. Made in France”.

Responsible materials at the heart of the manufacture of ethical shoes

For our ethical shoes, we use natural, recycled and non-polluting materials which allow us to considerably reduce our waste. We aim to develop a range of ethical clothing and women's accessories TPR (Always More Responsible), from their design to their distribution. By purchasing ethical women's shoes, you are participating in the preservation of forests, the reduction of CO2 emissions and the reduction of the quantity of water used during production.

We make most of our ethical shoes with LWG (Gold or Silver) labeled leather which guarantees leather production that respects people and the environment. The Leather Working Group brings together stakeholders - brands and tanneries - who opt for a complete transparency of working conditions in tanning workshops and bring sustainable change. We also offer ethical and vegan shoes made from recycled polyester or of thermoplastic rubber.
