THE VISCOSE, IN A FEW WORDS

An ultimate delicate material ,viscose captivates with its fluid drape and silky appearance. A breathable and luminous fiber, it enhances every silhouette. Because it is more prone to wrinkling and has the particularity of stiffening when wet, it requires a specific care routine to regain its full suppleness after each wash.

THE VISCOSE, IN A FEW WORDS

An ultimate material, viscose captivates with its fluid drape and silky appearance. A breathable and luminous fiber, it enhances every silhouette. Because it is more prone to wrinkling and has the particularity of stiffening when wet, it requires a specific care ritual to regain all its suppleness after each wash.

  • THE WASHING

To preserve the vibrancy of colors and the delicate nature of the fiber, gentleness is key.

    • Hand washing (recommended): Wash your garment inside out, in cold water or at a maximum of 20°C. Use a detergent for delicate laundry and gently massage the fabric without ever vigorously rubbing it.
    • Machine washing: If the label allows, place your garment in a laundry net to prevent friction against the drum. Choose a "hand wash" or "delicate" program (max 30°C) with very gentle spinning (400 rpm).
    • The action to avoid: Never wring out your viscose garment to dry it, as this risks breaking the fibers and deforming the garment.
  • THE DRYING

    • Towel technique: To absorb excess water without damaging the item, gently press it between two terry towels.
    • On a hanger: Unlike wool, viscose prefers to dry on a hanger to regain its natural shape. Be sure to hang it away from direct sunlight.
    • Forbidden: Tumble drying is strictly not recommended.
  • THE IRONING: THE KEY STEP

It is through ironing that viscose regains its full dimension and original softness.

    • Always iron inside out, at a temperature of 110°C maximum.
    • No steam: Unlike other materials, steam can sometimes leave watermarks or overstretch viscose. Prefer dry ironing.
    • Expert tip: Use a press cloth to protect the fiber and prevent any shine.
  • TASK PROCESSING

If a stain appears, speed is your best ally:

    1. Act immediately to prevent the stain from penetrating deep into the fiber.
    2. Cold water first: Never pour hot water on a greasy stain, as this could "cook" it and set it permanently.
    3. Localized cleaning: Apply a suitable stain remover only to the affected area before washing thoroughly (by hand or machine).
  • The storage

To keep your viscose item in perfect condition season after season:

    • Prefer hangers: Unlike sweaters, viscose dresses and blouses prefer to be hung to avoid prominent creases.
    • Out of the light: Store your items in a dry closet, away from direct sunlight, which could dull their prints or vibrant colors.

Did you know? If your garment seems to have "shrunk" or stiffened after washing, that's normal! Gentle ironing at the correct temperature will instantly restore its original size and fluidity.
