Over time, this splendid hotel has become the favorite meeting place for personalities from all over Paris. Offering a breathtaking view, the Terrass'' Hotel nestled on the Montmartre hill, invites you to spend a timeless moment alone with the Parisian rooftops where you will rub shoulders with the stars at nightfall...
For the #4 edition of our Boum Balzac Paris, we are investing in this magnificent hotel to enjoy the last rays of sunshine of the day!
On this occasion, we asked some questions to Angéline, Communication Manager of the Terrass'' Hotel, she reveals some secrets to us.
What can you tell us about this splendid place, a little historical retrospective to understand how this hotel was born? The Terrass'' Hotel is an almost mythical place in Montmartre! An address for artists, it hosted Picasso, Piaf, Renoir, Matisse and many others throughout the 20th century. This hotel was born in 1911 and we owe it to Edmond Hurand who built it that year. At the corner of rue Caulaincourt and Joseph de Maîstre was a brasserie. He bought it and built a hotel with 98 rooms.
Nestled on the Montmartre hill, it is on the 7th floor that you can rub shoulders with the rooftops of Paris and enjoy a breathtaking view of the whole of Paris! When is your favorite time to enjoy it? The best time to enjoy the 7th floor is certainly in the morning at dawn and in the evening at dusk. The brightness is exceptional. If you want a bit of calm, the early afternoon is also conducive to rest and relaxation!
What is the Terrass''Hotel team's favorite cocktail? And one dish to recommend even more than another? The favorite cocktail is undoubtedly the “MOULIN ROUGE”! As for the dish, hard to say because the menu changes every 3 months. But the dish to test right now is the Swordfish and Tuna Carpaccio and Avocado Espuma!
And for the most revelers, an ideal evening to come and dance? (The Boum Balzac Paris of course … but there must be others? ;)) On Thursdays, we organize DJ SETS but also acoustic lives! We try as much as possible to "eventify" the rooftop while keeping its privacy and tranquility for hotel guests.
The life of the terrace is punctuated by beautiful events, concerts, inaugurations, launches, shootings etc. What were the most significant for you? Anecdotes! Last year we broadcast the World Cup on a giant screen throughout the competition. The atmosphere was friendly, warm and sometimes delirious! We also organize shoots with many influencers but also talents like Guillaume Canet and Virginie Efira for Studio Ciné Live.
It seems to me that the Terrass'' Hotel is full of several little secrets… What are they? Yes, we have our secrets; ) We have beehives and produce our own honey. We also have a small private garden where we raise 3 chicks!
Finally, this place also allows you to come and relax, is it free to access? The SPA NUXE is open to hotel guests but also to Parisian guests who want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This space can be fully privatized and you can come for a hammam, a sauna with friends or mothers-daughters. Of course, our practitioner Sophie provides massages and à la carte treatments!
