"It's been 3 years since I last wore my favorite pair of jeans. That's the phrase I keep repeating to my boyfriend, who says to me “it's normal, you've just had a baby, you've had two pregnancies in a row, you're going to do some sport and then you'll get your body back”
So yes, it's true, I've lost the 25 kilos I gained during my first pregnancy, and I'm going to get there. But there's more to life than that: the world doesn't revolve around my flabby belly and love handles. But it's not just my body I'd like to get back. Because you can be sublime in 36, 42 or 46. Above all, it's my self-confidence, my clothes, my identity.
Because dressing up, whether you like fashion or not, is a real way of expressing yourself, of showing off your style, your tastes, your values. And this is particularly true after wearing the same leggings for 9 months, and after having neglected 90% of your wardrobe for years.
So when Balzac wrote to me for this project, I had to try on pieces one or two sizes larger than my usual size, and I didn't always like the reflection in the mirror, but above all I got a new taste for fashion, and I loved memorizing the collection to find the looks that most closely resembled me, and to recognize myself a little through my preferences
The April collection brings the first summer pieces into the dressing room.
And thanks to Matéo, I'm finally going to be able to fit into my favorite pair of jeans.
Merci Balzac.

In 2023, Balzac Paris gave birth to a project that was close to the hearts of its co-founders: Ensemble. This associative project embodies the values of solidarity and benevolence, and it is with great joy that we bring it to life each year through concrete, meaningful actions. This year, a unique shopping bag, proudly bearing the word Ensemble, becomes the symbol of this commitment.
For every shopping bag sold, €10 is donated to Vacances du Cœur, an organization that has been working for years to make vacations accessible to all. Because going on vacation, recharging one's batteries, getting together with family, should be a universal right, not a luxury, this association offers children and families in difficulty the chance to create unforgettable memories. Supporting Vacances du Cœur means offering a moment's respite, a breath of fresh air, a bright interlude in their daily lives. We are proud to contribute to this spirit of generosity and sharing.
In addition to its social impact, this tote bag is also part of T.P.R's commitment to increasingly responsible sustainable fashion. Manufactured in France by Les Tissages de Charlieu - a long-standing partner of Balzac Paris - and made entirely from recycled materials, it is a perfect illustration of our values and our quest for environmentally-friendly fashion. This certification is a demanding label that guarantees the recycled origin of materials and traceability throughout the manufacturing process. It is also one of the major pillars that have enabled us to proudly obtain B Corp certification.
Dive into summer - swim & chic
This season, Balzac Paris revisits swimwear with meticulous attention to cuts, details and materials. Form-fitting, sleek lines juxtapose vibrant linings, introducing a subtle yet sophisticated contrast.
Crafted entirely from certified Econyl regenerated nylon, this capsule collection reflects a strong commitment: transforming end-of-life materials into desirable pieces, all while reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 90 per cent compared to virgin nylon.
From the audacious, sculptural asymmetry of the Rebeca one-piece to the ultra-feminine ruched bustier detailing of Natalia, each piece has been imagined to satisfy every desire. Mila bewitches with its structured minimalism, while Felisa’s cross-back and impeccable support favour the sporty figure.
The bikinis are no exception: the Julio bottoms, slightly high-waisted and delicately ruched, promise the most comfortable embrace without sacrificing style, while Javier, with its classic shape and subtle back cut-out, holds a refined, timeless appeal.
A collection where style, sustainability, and conscious design meet for a summer brimming with confidence.

In April, Aries is a hit. They confidently wear the star pattern of the year: the leopard. But what makes them roar above all is the likely birth of a new love or the birth of a very personal project.
We've been going through weeks of intense rain in Lisbon, and my desire to wear the brand new Balzac Paris swimsuits has led me straight to the spa for this month's book club!
Cronopes and Fameux by Júlio Cortázar was given to me by an Argentinian friend who promised me a favorite from her country—and she wasn't wrong. Between boundless imagination and absurd humor, each story won me over, even the Improbable Instructions ! A real treat that made me smile on every page.
Pasta 1: 200g 00 flour, 2 whole eggs, 1 egg yolk and a pinch of salt
Pasta 2: 200g 00 flour, 2 whole eggs, 1 egg yolk, 1 tsp blue spirulina and a pinch of salt
Using a 6 cm cookie cutter, cut circles from your very thin sheet of pasta. In the center of the circle, add 1/2 teaspoon of filling. Add a little water to the edge and fold the circle over, pressing to seal. Make sure there is no air between the filling and the pasta. Bring the two ends together and seal again.
Place on a baking sheet dusted with flour.
Cook the tortellini in boiling salted water until al dente. About 3 to 5 minutes, until they float to the surface. (Fresh pasta cooks quickly!)
Place your cooked tortellini in a bowl and pour your favorite hot broth over it. Enjoy!
Here ends my brief mission for Balzac, whom I love so much, and I am ready to pass on the torch.
The first time I saw her was in front of my door, seven years ago. Almost to the day. A crumpled bag of pastries in hand, she flashed me her most frank smile, discreet all the same, introduced herself, and then the rest of the team arrived for this shoot, which I was then the subject of. The anecdote could have ended there, marked by an unbearable "it's a wrap" thrown in for panache, on this sun-drenched day. I would have said to myself, oh she was nice, with her soft hair and her shrewd eye. But there are encounters that are made to imprint themselves in the tight mesh of our history, and Thais is a bit like that. Life has always managed to bring us together, here and there, for the time of a message, a missed call, a drink on a wooden table, despite our lives being woven far from each other. And seven years after opening my door to her, I'm happy that she's the next Balzac editor. Because she's talented, she has great taste, she's a mother, a woman, and an outstanding hard worker.
And for me it's even a little more than that.
